Water Vole Project

We are currently moving water voles from nearby Chowder Ness to the park.

Around the park there are many places that are suitable for water voles to live which has already attracted many to the area. In order to accommodate the new voles a new dyke has been created to take the new voles. This new dyke is an extension of one of the current dykes in the park, it will develop over time and gradually be inhabited by the water voles as it develops.

Discreet Wildlife Cameras
These cameras are installed and moved around the park to monitor day time and nocturnal wildlife activity. These will show images of foxes feeding at night using infra red night vision, the camera will be able to show an image in compete darkness and then show a full colour image when day breaks.
