Wildlife
Watch
North Lincolnshire Council has adopted the Waters Edge Visitor
Centre as the communication and transmission hub for the region
wide "Wildlife Surveillance Network".
The Network uses state of the art discrete and high-powered video
cameras to link together hidden wildlife with the local community
who live and work around the Humber Estuary. Yet the bounds of
the project reach further than this. Not only will images and sounds
be broadcast to the new centre at Waters' Edge but also through
this web site and therefore enabling the wider community to join
in and share their own wildlife.
In The Waters' Edge Centre images and sounds beamed from the park
and surrounding area will be shown on large screens and interactive
displays. This has been made possible by using the latest fibre
optic and digital wireless technology.
Humber Bridge Camera
A wireless network links the Visitor Centre at Waters Edge to a
Pan, Tilt and Zoom camera on the eastern tower (south side) of
the Humber Bridge. This camera will give the visitor an over view
of the park. From the visitor centere you will be able to control
the movement and zoom of the camera to focus in on different areas
of the park, and other areas of interest such as reads island.
